Fridays for Future Toronto is the local chapter of the Fridays for Future global climate strike movement. We are a youth-led, grassroots organization with the primary mission of mobilizing to demand climate justice through the organization of school strikes, rallies, and marches. Fridays for Future Toronto recognizes that the climate crisis is not only an environmental crisis but a social justice crisis too. We have adopted a number of intersectional demands that aim to create a space for youth to advocate for a better world that uplifts marginalized voices, follows the principles of climate justice and empowers youth to demand a future that is sustainable and just for all!

Sunrise is a movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process. We’re building an army of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and wellbeing of all people. We are ordinary young people who are scared about what the climate crisis means for the people and places we love. We are gathering in classrooms, living rooms, and worship halls across the country.
